About Contrail Media

Contrail Media is a fresh 2011 upstart operated as a sole proprietorship by Pete Bauer to more fully realize a lifelong passion for creating emotive still and moving imagery.  By the time Pete was 10, his grandfather frequently found his Bell & Howell Regular 8mm movie camera on loan to his eldest grandson.

Although life took his professional pursuits in other directions, Pete continued as an avid amateur camera hound.  Since his retirement from the Air Force, his civilian practice of Aerospace Medicine in the Houston area has afforded him greater time and opportunity to fully immerse himself in cinematography.

Pete is a long-time contributing editor and forum moderator at dvinfo.net, the number one online place for aficionados of digital cinematography.

Although Contrail Media primarily focuses on filmmaking and documentary works, Pete will happily consider clients seeking HD commercial adverstising, corporate videography, and multi-camera public-venue events of high production value.
